Weather Forces Changes to Western New England Athletics Schedules (UPDATED)
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Due to the effects of a coastal storm and unplayable field conditions as the result of a slow spring season, Western New England University Department of Athletics officials have announced several changes to Golden Bears schedules in women's lacrosse, baseball, softball and men's tennis.

Here are the changes as of 10 a.m. Wednesday:

Baseball - Monday's Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader at Gordon was postponed, with a tentative make-up date set for next Monday, March 31, at 2 p.m.; Tuesday's meeting at Brandeis and TODAY's game at Springfield both were postponed, with make-up dates to be determined.

Men's Tennis - Tuesday's match versus Roger Williams has been rescheduled for next Monday, March 31, at 3 p.m. The team's non-conference match at home against Sage TODAY has been tentatively rescheduled for Thursday (3 p.m.).

Softball - Tuesday's Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader at Roger Williams will be made up on Wednesday, April 2, beginning at 3 p.m. As a result, a home game against Westfield State originally scheduled for that date will be postponed and make-up to be announced. In addition, TODAY's home opener against Smith has been postponed; No make-up date has been set.

Women's Lacrosse - In a game originally scheduled for March 13, the Golden Bears will now travel to Castleton State on Monday, April 7, starting at 4 p.m.
