A senior tri-captain who plays center field, Francese (Hinsdale, Mass./Wahconah Regional) was the table setter for the Golden Bears. The sport management major led WNE with a .393 batting average in the No. 2 spot in the lineup, going 11 for 28, and had a .429 on-base percentage. She scored eight runs, drove in two more and had three stolen bases.
Liacos, a senior from Beverly High School, led a strong defensive unit that surrendered only 12 goals and 29 shots on goal during the Golden Bears 2-0 week. He led the team with six caused turnovers and recorded six ground balls. In addition, he posted just his second career multi-point game with a goal and an assist against Salve Regina on Saturday. He is majoring in mechanical engineering.
