SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--One hundred and thirty-one (131) honorees on various academic all-conference lists is the No. 9 moment/story on WNEGoldenBears.com during the 2013-14 academic year for Western New England University Athletics.

For the third year in a row, WNE Athletics set a school record for academic all-conference selections as 2002-13 saw 114 and there were 105 citations in 2011-12.

Football led WNE Athletics with 23 student-athletes on the All-New England Football Conference Academic Team, which was third in the league. Men's Hockey produced a program-record 17 to rank second in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast.

Within the Commonwealth Coast Conference, Men's Lacrosse and Women's Soccer led the Golden Bears with nine apiece.
