SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--The Golden Bear Sports Network (GBSN), presented by the Western New England University Office of Alumni Relations and WNE Alumni Association, announces the winter sports webcast schedule on WNEGoldenBears.tv.

As was the case for fall sports, men's and women's basketball, women's swimming, men's ice hockey and wrestling home events will be making their debuts over the Internet with live video streaming. The action gets under way on Friday, Nov. 1, when women's swimming takes on Rhode Island College in its home opener at the Alumni Healthful Living Center pool, as the meet begins at 6 p.m. Other sports' first webcast are Men's Ice Hockey vs. Becker on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 4:40 p.m.; Women's Basketball vs. Framingham State on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m.; Men's Basketball vs. Curry on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m.; and Wrestling vs. Rhode Island College on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m.

WNEgoldenbears.tv is powered by the Boston-based Pack Network, a company that specializes in live high-definition TV and webcast productions, as well as graphic print design, web design, multimedia consulting and post-production video projects. Some of the clients include World Team Tennis, NCAA Division I conferences and numerous institutions on the NCAA I-II-III levels.

By the end of the 2013-14 academic year, the WNE Athletic Communications Office plans to deliver rich, live streaming HD-video content of 100 (home) games spanning 14 sports, plus select Commonwealth Coast Conference, Eastern College Athletic Conference and NCAA postseason games.
