After a disappointing season in 2012, the Golden Bears were back to their winning ways this past fall by capturing their fifth CCC title in the program's seventh year in the league. After defeating Roger Williams University in the CCC championship game, 2-0, WNE earned its first appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship since 2011 and eighth in team history.

The Golden Bears defeated the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the first time since 2002 by a score of 2-0 in the NCAA opening round. However, Western New England went on to lose to Williams College in the second, 4-1 (led 1-0 at halftime), in Williamstown.

At season's end the accolades continued to fall for Western New England, with a 16-5-3 overall record, T-No. 25 NSCAA ranking, two national academic citations, three all-region performers, five academic All-CCC student-athletes and four all-conference standouts.

Fourteen-year head coach Erin Sullivan and the Golden Bears will look to build off a successful season going into 2014.
