As the No. 2 seed with a 6-1-2 conference record, Western New England defeated Curry College, Nichols College and Roger Williams University by a combined 5-1 score for their fifth CCC championship in the program's seventh year in the league, debuting in 2007.
The Golden Bears defeated the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the first time since 2002 by a score of 2-0 in the NCAA opening round. However, Western New England lost to fourth-ranked Williams College in the second, 4-1 (led 1-0 at halftime), in Williamstown.
Other team accolades include two national academic awards, five all-region citations (including the New England Division III Defensive Player of the Year for the Eastern College Athletic Conference), five academic All-CCC student-athletes, a trio of New England Intercollegiate Soccer League Senior All-Star Game invitees, and four all-conference standouts including the CCC Defensive Player of the Year.
