A junior defender for the women's soccer team, Parlavecchio was a key contributor to the Golden Bears' 2-0 record this past week. In a 3-1 victory over Elms College on Tuesday, Sep. 23, Parlavecchio scored her first two goals of her career within a span of four-minutes to push her team to an early lead. Four days later versus Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Gordon College, she contributed greatly on the defensive side as the Golden Bears shut out a strong offensive team in the Fighting Scots, 3-0, to avenge last year's 5-0 loss and give Western New England its first win versus Gordon since Oct. 16, 2010.
A criminal justice major, Parlavecchio has started in all 10 games this season for the Golden Bears and has been a huge contributor on both sides of the field.
A sophomore wing for the football team, N'Dabian has made his mark on offense this season for the 3-0 Golden Bears. In an 80-16 victory over Maine Maritime this past Saturday, N'Dabian gained a career- and game-high 157 yards on the ground on only two carries for two touchdowns. N'Dabian had a 94-yard rushing touchdown--the longest in school history--in the final quarter to put the Golden Bears up 66-16. Also a threat catching the ball, N'Dabian had one reception which was a 61-yard pass from quarterback Tyler Ward that resulted in a touchdown.
A marketing communications/advertising major, N'Dabian is now second on the team in rushing yards with 157 and touchdowns with two--both behind teammate Kevin Cook who has 217 and five, respectively.
