A freshman goalie for the field hockey team, Trupe had a career-best 10 saves in her first collegiate start during Western New England's 3-2 victory over Union-N.Y. this past Saturday. She also had six saves and allowed only two goals after coming on in relief only 13 minutes into the game against Smith. In a 1-1 week for the Golden Bears, Trupe logged 16 saves and posted a 2.19 goals-against-average, earning her the Commonwealth Coast Conference Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for the first time.
The psychology major currently owns a 2.06 GAA and .810 save percentage in 135 minutes and 47 seconds of action on the season.
A junior linebacker for the football team, Soucie was a dominant force on defense for the Golden Bears this past Saturday as they defeated New England Football Conference foe Salve Regina 34-31. Leading the Golden Bears to their fifth-straight victory of the season, Soucie led the team with a game-best 12 tackles, two-solo while assisting on 10. Soucie also broke-up one pass in the three-point comeback win.
The criminal justice major leads his team with a total of 54 tackles; 19-solo and assisted on 35. He's averaging 10.5 tackles and also has one interception on the season.
