Wiltey will be charged with contest set-up/tear-down, assisting in the equipment room, and helping in the supervision of work-study students.
Wiltey also serves on the Western New England baseball coaching staff as an assistant, beginning his fifth season in 2015. His specific responsibility is working with the¬†Golden Bears infielders.
A native of Johnstown, N.Y., Wiltey graduated from Cazenovia (N.Y.) College with a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2010. He also received a Master's of Business Administration degree from the University in 2012.
He was a two-year starter and a team captain on the baseball team that was the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC)¬†regular-season league champions in 2008 and 2009. A first baseman, Wiltey was third on the team in batting average as a senior. He also was selected the 2010 NEAC Scholar-Athlete-of-the-Year.
Wiltey also served as the team captain of the men's club hockey squad for three years.
Wiltey replaces Steve Kearney '10 who resigned the post--along with his baseball assistant coaching duties--to pursue a professional business opportunity in managerial sales.
