Jamie Moran joined the Western New England University athletics staff as the Athletics Equipment and Game Operations Assistant in July 2018.
Moran is responsible for assisting in the overall management of the equipment and operations functions of the athletic department. He oversees laundry, equipment, uniform distribution, and athletic contest site preparation.
Moran graduated from the University of Connecticut in May 2018 with a bachelor of science degree in sport management and a minor in business fundamentals.
While at UConn, he served as an equipment assistant for the Huskies basketball programs, ensuring that equipment and apparel was inventoried and distributed to student-athletes, coaches and support staff.
Moran also worked as a gameday assistant within the marketing department at UConn, assisting in the execution of marketing activities at UConn athletic events with the goal of enhanced fan experience and sponsor activation.
Outside of UConn athletics, Moran completed a full-time internship last summer with the Connecticut Sports Management Group. He served as a site director for five different youth tournaments for the Nutmeg State Games, with a primary focus on event management and operations. Moran’s responsibilities included setup and breakdown of facilities, supervision of interns and volunteers, and assisting in scheduling of tournaments.
Moran was also active in volunteer work, including serving on the management team for HuskyTHON, a yearlong fundraiser for a local children’s hospital.
Moran, a native of Manchester, Connecticut, graduated from Manchester High School in 2014.
