Kevin Bennison makes school history as he and classmate Paul Winkler become the first men’s golfers inducted into the Downes Athletic Hall of Fame.

Kevin immediately cracked the starting lineup as a freshman and helped lay the foundation for the success that the current team now enjoys. 

The Cobleskill, NY native was a two-time All-New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) selection as a sophomore and junior.

Kevin was the medalist at the WNE Invitational with a 74 in the Fall of 2000, City of Springfield Champion with a 74 in the Fall of 2002, and the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in the Spring of 2003.

He also was a three-time All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) runner-up helping the Golden Bears win a pair of league titles.

A team captain, Kevin twice won the WNE award for Low Stroke Average and was the team’s Co-MVP as a senior. He earned a spot on the PING Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division III All-Northeast Region Team in the Spring of 2002. 

Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management before earning his Class A Membership in the Professional Golfers' Association of America. 

He currently serves as PGA Head Professional at Mt. Anthony Country Club in Bennington, VT.
