An elite athlete known for his durability and excellent knowledge of the game, Jon Godbout established himself as one of the best men’s basketball players in Western New England history.

Jon earned a starting position as a freshman and never looked back serving as a team captain his final two years.

The Bristol, CT native finished his career with 1,440 points (leading the squad in scoring his last three seasons) that is sixth best in Golden Bears history.

He ranks first in both career steals (187) and minutes (34.7 per game average), second in games played (108), third in assists (336), and fifth in three-pointers (154).

Jon was a three-time All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First-Team selection and the team’s Most Valuable Player his last three seasons.

He also excelled in the classroom earning four GNAC Academic Team honors while twice making the prestigious ESPN the Magazine College Division District 1 Academic First Team.

Jon received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and was a member of the WNE Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

He currently serves as a Financial Analyst for Horizon BlueCross BlueShield New Jersey.

Jon and his wife Kate reside in Aberdeen, NJ with their children Abby (2) and Kyle (1).
