Brenda (Post) Killebrew wasn’t just one of the best women’s volleyball players at Western New England College; she ranks among the top female student-athletes in school history. The Groton, Connecticut native set numerous team records from her outside hitter position and was the first Golden Bears’ performer to reach the 1,000-mark in career kills, finishing with 1,224. Brenda also was the 2002 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player-of-the-Year, the first person in team history to gain the honor. She was a two-time All-GNAC selection and twice a team captain/MVP. Brenda, who earned her bachelor’s degree in History, compiled an impressive .328 hitting percentage for her career. She also served on the school’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Brenda resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia with her husband Grayson and their daughters Madeline (4) andLillian (2).
