Jennifer Mikulec Wheelock ranks among the top dual-sport athletes in Western New England history. In field hockey, she played goalie leading the nation in saves (274) and finishing second in save percentage (91.6) her senior year. Jennifer was an All-North Atlantic Conference (NAC) selection and the first WNE player selected to participate in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) North-South Game. The Farmington, Connecticut native also posted a 24-8 record in two season playing goalie on the women’s lacrosse squad. Jennifer helped the Golden Bears to a school-record 16-2 record as a senior, the program’s first New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) title, and inaugural appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship. She served as a captain in both sports while earning NFHCA and Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Academic Team recognition. Jennifer also spent two seasons as an assistant coach in each sport following her graduation.
