Mike Roach, a native of Middlebury, Connecticut, was a four-year performer on the Golden Bears' football squad from 1995-98 and a team captain his senior season. He is the program's second leading receiver with 116 receptions. His 1,818 yards, 18 touchdowns and 15.7 yards per catch average are all school career records along with his 591 yards in 1998. He set school marks with 12 receptions and 161 yards against Sacred Heart as a freshman. Roach was named to the All-New England Football Conference (NEFC) First Team and All-Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Second Team. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Roach is a Connecticut State Trooper based out of Southbury.
