AHLC Facility Hours for Spring Semester, 2018:

General Building Hours:

Weekdays: 7am - 11pm

Weekend: 9am - 11pm

AHLC Weight Room Hours: 

Weekdays: 7am - 11 pm 

Weekend: 11:30am - 6pm

AHLC Pool Hours: 

Weekdays: 7am - 10am, 4:30pm - 7:30pm

Weekends: 1pm - 4pm

Wellness Center:

The Wellness Center is the official workout facility for Western New England University faculty, staff, students, and Alumni. The room offers: treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent and upright bikes, stair masters, aerobic mats, bosu balls, minimal free weights, and 15 MATRIX selectorized machines. Certain cardio machines contain TV access, along with 3 flat screen TV’s on the walls.

Weight Room:

The Weight Room offers a variety of equipment for weight training exercises.

Body Master or Startrac makes all of the equipment. All dumbbells and curl bars are made by GP Industries.
Specific equipment provided: Squat Racks (2), Smith machine, Leg Press
Flat Benches (2), Inclines (2), Decline Bench, Leg Extension, Leg Curl, Chin Dip Station, Lat. Pulldown/Seated Row Combo Station, 40-85 lbs. Curl Bars, 5-115 lbs. Dumbbells, Corner Cable Station.

(*both the wellness center and weight room are staffed by work-study student employees and ultimately open based on their availability)

Squash and Racquetball Courts:

Court reservations are first-come, first-serve, and changing on the hour. Equipment is available, free of charge, to rent.

Aerobics Rooms:

Wood floor room with front wall full length mirrors containing: yoga mats, medicine balls, exercise balls, free weights, assisted pull-up/dip machine, spin bikes, Stairmaster, and Aerobic Step Platforms and Risers. AUX chord and speakers available.


Eight-lane pool with diving docks and backstroke flags, 7-feet deep. Recreational area attached, 4 to 5 feet deep.

Note: As a reminder, please remember that the pool is staffed with student lifeguards. An extenuating circumstance may cause the pool to be closed without notice.


Gymnasium with basketball hoops, batting cages, practice courts, and elevated indoor track.
