SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Western New England juniors Tim Clark (West Springfield, MA) and Mike Rubino (Northford, CT) were selected to the D3baseball.com All-American Team on Tuesday (May 22).

Clark, a second baseman, was named to the Second Team after leading the Golden Bears with a.428 batting average in 51 games. He led the Golden Bears in slugging (.551), on-base percentage (.464), and triples (5), and collected 80 hits, which tied the school record set last year by Rubino.

Clark was the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player-of-the-Year and an All-CCC First Team honoree. He also made the All-New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Division III First Team.

Rubino gained Honorable Mention recognition after hitting .376 with 74 hits and a team-high 17 doubles. He led the squad in runs-batted in (50) and sacrifice flies (9, which ranks first nationally). Rubino also was both an All-CCC and NEIBA Division III First team pick.

Western New England posted a 38-13 record this past season, captured its fifth consecutive CCC Championship (and seventh straight league title), and placed second in the NCAA Regional.

The Golden Bears are 21st in the latest D3baseball.com poll.
