Western New England University dedicates the new Flynn Family Golden Bear Pavilion
SPRINGFIELD, MA - Western New England dedicated the new Flynn Family Golden Bear Pavilion on Tuesday (Sept. 29) before an enthusiastic crowd of student-athletes, faculty, staff, and friends.

The Flynn Family and CEO Michael J. Flynn '82/G'83, owners of Hampden Engineering in nearby East Longmeadow, are longtime supporters of the University and its Athletics program.

The Pavilion features state-of-the-art lockers for eight of the Golden Bears outdoor sports teams: baseball, field hockey, football, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, and softball.

The $1.5-million facility also features equipment and training rooms, public restrooms, and a concession stand.
 
Speakers included University president Anthony Caprio, Board of Trustees chairman Mike Serafino, and Senior Associate Director of Athletics Joe Sassi.
 
Thomas Hensohn, president of Pearson Systems, was the project developer.
