Norwich 63, WNEC 47

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — Leading by eight at half-time, Western New England College shot only 26% in the second half in dropping a 63-47 decision to Norwich University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest.

WNEC went on a 13-4 run to take a 30-22 lead at intermission. Norwich opened the second half with a 24-7 run and shot 53% in the final 20 minutes to take control of the game.

Junior guard Jon Godbout (Bristol, CT) led the Golden Bears with 17 points and four steals while senior forward Anthony Charbatj (Attleboro, MA) contributed 15 points.

Carbatji moved from 16th to 13th on the team's all-time scoring list (1,026 points) passing Peter Harris (1,014), John Jasinski (1,018), and Mike O'Connor (1,025).

Western New England College is now 10-7 overall and 6-4 in the GNAC. Norwich improves to 10-5 and 8-2.
