SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Craig Archambault has been named assistant men’s basketball coach at Western New England College.
Archambault, a native of West Hartford, Connecticut, is a 2005 graduate of Drew University in New Jersey where he was a four-year varsity letterwinner in basketball.
While at Drew, he played under former assistant coach Chris Agoglia who is now the new head coach at Western New England College.
Archambault served as a team captain his senior year and was a four-time Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Conference Academic Team member. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics.
This fall Archambault will begin work on his Master’s degree in Sport at Western New England College.
Archambault was an assistant boys’ basketball coach at Conard High School in West Hartford last season. He was a four-year player at Conard from 1997-2001 and team captain as a senior.
Archambault also received the school’s Athletic Leadership Award and was a four-time selection to the Central Connecticut Conference (CCC) West Academic Team.
"We are very excited to have Craig Archambault on our staff," said Agoglia. "He will provide the enthusiasm, hard work, and knowledge that will help our program achieve on the court, and most importantly, on the recruiting trail."
