Lima, N.Y. native compiled eight points (two goals, six assists) over two Golden Bear victories
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 2, 2018) – Junior attackman Tim Breau (Lima, N.Y.) of the Western New England University men's lacrosse team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Breau led the Western New England offense with eight points (two goals, six assists) last week as the Golden Bears won their first two CCC contests.
He handed out a career-high four assists in Tuesday's 15-8 win over Curry, before recording two goals and two assists in Saturday's 12-9 victory at the University of New England.
Breau has appeared in seven games, making four starts this spring. He ranks fifth on the team with 16 points on five goals and 11 assists.
The Lima, N.Y. native appeared in seven games last season and recorded 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) in his first year as a Golden Bear.
Breau played his freshman season at Lycoming (Pa.) College, where he started all 15 games and ranked second on the team with 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists).
Western New England (5-5, 2-0 CCC) hosts Wentworth on Wednesday night at 7 p.m., before traveling to Beverly, Mass. on Saturday for a CCC showdown at Endicott College.
