Palmer, Mass. native scored five more goals in a 1-1 week for Western New England
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 11, 2017) – For the second consecutive week and seventh time in his career, senior forward Troy Remillard (Palmer, Mass.) of the Western New England University men's soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Remillard again fueled the Western New England offense last week, scoring five of the team's seven goals as the Golden Bears went 1-1 in a pair of non-conference contests.
He found the back of the net twice in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Wheaton, before registering his second hat trick of the season on Saturday in Western New England's 5-1 triumph at Elms.
Through four games this season, Remillard leads all three Divisions of NCAA soccer with ten goals. His 41 career goals rank third in program history.
Remillard will look to stretch his scoring streak to five games on Wednesday night, when Western New England (3-1) travels to Westfield State for a non-conference matchup.
