Claflin & Argyle score for Golden Bears
WORCESTER, Mass. (September 6, 2019) – The Western New England University men's soccer team defeated Worcester State University, 2-0, on Friday evening in non-conference action at Coughlin Field.
Senior forwards Brendan Claflin (Burlington, Mass.) and Charlie Argyle (Marshfield, Mass.) both found the back of the net for the Golden Bears, while senior goalkeeper Dylan Husted (South Deerfield, Mass.) posted a three-save clean sheet.
Claflin staked Western New England to a 1-0 advantage in the 15th minute, when he collected the rebound from an initial shot that was saved by Worcester State goalkeeper Henri Guilmette (Franklin, Mass.) and buried the second attempt into the back of the net.
