New Fairfield, Conn. native recorded career-high nine points in Western New England's 16-15 win over Gordon last Tuesday
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 30, 2018) – Sophomore Eileen Ruby (New Fairfield, Conn.) of the Western New England University women's lacrosse team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Ruby recorded 12 points and nine draw controls last week over the final two games of Western New England's season.
She erupted for a career-high nine points (six goals, three assists) and secured two draws on Tuesday as the Golden Bears edged Gordon in their regular season finale, 16-15.
Ruby then dished out three assists and added a team-high seven draws on Saturday in Western New England's 17-8 CCC Tournament loss to the University of New England.
An All-CCC third team selection this spring, Ruby finished her sophomore campaign with 44 points (24 goals, 20 assists) and 52 draw controls, which led the team.
