COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (November 14, 2015) -
Sophomore Austin Sisco (Denville, N.J.) and junior Brian Donovan (Manchester, Conn.) finished second and third in their respective weight classes to highlight Western New England University's showing earlier today at the Ursinus College Fall Brawl in Collegeville, Pa.  
 
Sisco started his day by pinning Brandon Caffrey of Gettysburg in 1:40, before pinning the College of New Jersey's James Goldschmidt (4:45) and advancing to the final with a 13-1 major decision victory over Brian DiCesare of Liberty. Sisco dropped an 11-4 decision to Keven Hoogeheem of host Ursinus, but finished second in the 133 pound weight class.
 
At 197 pounds, Donovan opened with a 1-0 decision over New Jersey's Stephen Boncimino and followed that up with a 12-1 major decision victory against David Trigg of Liberty, before dropping a tight 3-2 decision to Delaware Valley's Alex Price. He rebounded with a 6-3 win over Jake Pooton of McDaniel College, and claimed third place with another 6-3 decision, this time over Corey Kerkesner of Franklin & Marshall College.
 
Sophomore Tim McLinden (Plaistow, N.H.) won his first bout at 125 pounds with an 8-5 decision against Franklin & Marshall's Chris Martorello, but was then defeated in an 8-6 decision by Noah Malamut of Gettysburg.
 
Sophomore Lamont Wallace (New Rochelle, N.Y.) went 1-2 at 141 pounds today with a 7-4 decision over Shawn Phillips of Delaware Valley, while classmate James Black (Redford, N.Y.) picked up a win at 165 pounds, pinning Liberty's Jorge Reyes in 1:59.
 
The Golden Bears will be back in action next Saturday at Springfield College's Doug Parker Invitational, before hosting Rhode Island College in their home opener at the Alumni Healthful Living Center on December 3.
