SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (December 9, 2023) – The Western New England women's wrestling team defeated Utica University 40-0 while taking down Alvernia University by a score of 39-11 to sweep the day in the home opener for the Golden Bears on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened: (vs. Utica University)
The Golden Bears would dominate the Utica University Pioneers on the afternoon, winning eight of the ten matches in which matches were held, seven of the eight coming by way of a forfeit. Dakota-Marie Dinielli would take a fall victory in 1:53 over Gillian Mills to grab five points for WNE. Kendall Branchaud would earn the other victory over Mills in exhibition action, grabbing a pinfall victory in 1:38.
