MILTON, Mass. (September 21, 2023) – The Western New England women's tennis team took down CCC foe Curry College on the road, opening their CCC schedule with a victory on Thursday afternoon.

- Curry College: 0-5, 0-2 CCC
How it Happened:
Curry would get off to a hot start in doubles action, winning two of the three opening matches as the Colonels opened with a 2-1 lead.
Dani Martinez and
Gabrielle Tirkot would take the victory in doubles three position for WNE, winning 8-2.
Western New England would come alive in the singles round to take the match.
Jessica Cofrancesco would grab a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Serena Wilson to get Western New England their first singles win.
Dani Martinez would finish the day 2-0 after taking both doubles and singles wins, winning in singles action 7-5, 6-0.
Catie Seklecki would move to 3-0 in her collegiate career, winning in the singles #5 position, taking the match 6-2, 6-2.
Sydney Shepard would close out the victory for Western New England in the sixth singles spot, grabbing a 6-2, 6-2 victory as the Golden Bears claimed victory in their CCC opener over Curry College by a final score of 5-4.
