MILTON, Mass. (April 2, 2025) – The Western New England men's tennis team picked up a big Conference of New England (CNE) victory on Wednesday afternoon from the Trent J. Scott Tennis Courts, defeating the Colonels of Curry College by a final score of 7-0, winning all nine matches possible.

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears opened with a forfeit win in the third doubles match as
Colby Esposito and
Eston Fowler took the victory. From there,
Brandon Allen and
Joshua Marx would team up in the second doubles spot to come away with a victory in straight work, beating Jake Perrotte and Nicholas Cirelli 6-0. In the top doubles spot,
Nolan Jermain and
Quinn Northrop would get back to their winning ways, coming up with a 6-1 victory for WNE, earning the Golden Bears the first point of the match.
In singles play, WNE had no problem coming away with all six wins in straight sets.
Quinn Northrop earned a win in the sixth singles spot via forfeit. In the top spot,
Colby Esposito came up with his first singles win of the season, a 6-0, 6-1 win over Eric Flynn.
Kyle Poccia played and won the second singles spot for WNE, earning a 6-1, 6-2 win over Maitreya Abend. In the third spot, the Golden Bears saw
Joshua Marx defeat Jake Perrotte by the same score in both sets, winning 6-1, 6-1.
Eston Fowler found a 6-2, 6-0 win in the fourth singles spot for the Golden Bears, which put WNE ahead 6-0 overall in the match. Well on their way to victory,
Brandon Allen secured the sweep for WNE in the fifth singles spot with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win over Leo Katz. With the win, Western New England defeated the Colonels by a final score of 7-0.
