PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April 21, 2025) – The Western New England men's tennis team fell short in a close 6-1 match on Monday afternoon in non-conference action to the Anchormen of Rhode Island College, seeing their season come to an end.

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears would get a win in doubles action at the top spot as the duo of
Quinn Northrop and
Nolan Jermain picked up a 7-5 victory over Rhode Island College's Travis Chartier and Andrew Fanning.
Nick Bayer and
Brandon Greger came up with a close match in the second doubles but fell 6-4. RIC would take the third doubles spot over
Kyle Poccia and Easton Fowler to lead the match 1-0.
In singles action, Western New England would see one match go the distance as
Brandon Greger's third singles match would go the distance, but the ball would not bounce in his favor in his final collegiate match of the spring, dropping a 6-4, 3-6, 6-10 match. Fellow senior
Nick Bayer would grab a win for Western New England in his final match, coming up with a 6-4, 6-2 victory. Otherwise, Western New England would fall in all other matches on the afternoon, falling in their final match of the spring by a final score of 6-1.
