Women’s Swimming Unveils Upcoming 2026-27 Season Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 29, 2026) – The Western New England women's swimming team has announced its 2026-27 schedule, featuring five road dual meet dates, three home dual meet dates, and three invitationals during the regular season. 

The Golden Bears open the 2026-27 season at the Blue Jay Pentathlon at the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Friday, October 16 at 5:00 PM. The Golden Bears swam in the event last season, seeing a pair take top-three finishes. The Golden Bears then swim at Simmons University for the first time in program history on Friday, October 23, at 6:00 PM at the Holmes Sports Center. The Golden Bears then head to UMass-Dartmouth for a dual meet with the Corsairs to close the month of October, swimming on Friday, October 30, at 6:00 PM.

The month of November opens at home in the first home dual meet of the season for the Blue and Gold, hosting Mount Holyoke College on Friday, November 6, at 6:00 PM from the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. It will be the first dual meet between the Blue and Gold and the Lyons since 2023. From there, the Golden Bears travel back to UMass-Dartmouth for the Louise Goodrum Invitational, taking place on Saturday, November 14 at 12:00 PM. The final meet of November comes on Saturday, November 21, at Clark University, where the Blue and Gold will take on the Cougars and Rhode Island College. Prior to ringing in the new year, Western New England women's swimming heads to Bridgewater State University for the BSU Invitational on Saturday, December 5 at 11:00 AM. 

Back-to-back home meets begin the 2027 portion of the schedule for the Golden Bears, who begin with a tri-meet, hosting both Gordon College and Rhode Island College on Friday, January 8 at 4:00 PM. The Golden Bears will then host Elms College on Saturday, January 16, at 11:00 AM, celebrating Senior Day in the final home meet of the season. The busy month continues on the road for WNE, heading to Regis College (Mass.) on Friday, January 22, at 6:00 PM for the first road dual with the Pride since 2023. The regular season will conclude on Saturday, January 30, at 1:00 PM when WNE travels the short distance to Westfield State University. 

The Little East Conference Championships will take place at Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, Massachusetts, on Friday, February 12, Saturday, February 13, and Sunday, February 14. To view the full schedule, click here.
