Corey Lomas returns to Western New England for his second stint as Head Coach of the women's swimming team, as announced by Director of Athletics & Recreation, Jenn Kolins.

Lomas previously served as Head Coach of the program from 2021–2023.

In his first season with the women's swimming and diving team, Lomas picked up two wins for Western New England on the season in competitive matches, winning his first ever collegiate match against UMass-Dartmouth on October 30, 2021. WNE placed fourth of eight teams at the Bridgewater State University Invitational on December 4. WNE picked up a win over Albertus Magnus College on January 22.

Lomas was a crucial member of the women's swimming program for recruitment, retention, and success during his first two seasons with the Golden Bears. In 2022-2023, the Golden Bears finished with a record of 6-3 in dual matches while finishing in sixth place overall in the Little East Conference Championships, their best finish in program history since joining the conference in 2020-2021. Lomas led Amanda Robinson (Woodbridge, Conn.) to the Little East Conference Rookie of the Year, WNE's first in program history.

Lomas came to Western New England in 2021 with over eight years of coaching experience. Lomas took over the swimming program at Ludlow High School, where he led the team to break nine school records and win league titles for both the girls' and boys' teams. Lomas previously owned and had been the head coach at PVAA Swimming in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Lomas was awarded the 2018-19 USA Swimming New England Coach of the Year Award. Lomas was previously the assistant swim coach and the diving coach at Minnechaug Regional High School, where he coached two record-breaking seasons with 20 school records broken during his time coaching.
