Biography

Entering the Season: One of three senior captains...two-year starter in the circle who is also coming off a career year at the plate...postseason awards candidate.

2014 (Junior Year): Received National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) Scholar All-America team and Academic All-Commonwealth Coast Conference accolades...battled a back injury for most of the season, but still fashioned a .500-record and 93 strikeouts in 88.1 innings and had a career-best .345 batting average...would have been the team's third-best hitter if she had the minimum number of at-bats to qualify...also established career highs for home runs (2), runs batted in (14), slugging (.527) and on-base percentage (.379)...notched 11 strikeouts despite a 6-5, extra-innings loss at Salve Regina (April 12), as only four of the runs were earned...went 3-for-7, including a double and home run, with a run scored and four RBI in a twinbill split versus Endicott on April 5...ranked fifth in CCC opponents' batting average (.250)...No. 3 in the conference striking out 93 batters (2nd in CCC games only with 58 in eight appearances).

2013 (Sophomore Year): Chosen to the All-CCC First Team in her first season donning a royal blue and gold uniform...led the CCC in opponents' batting average and earned-run average...ranked second in victories, strikeouts, shutouts, innings pitched and appearances...named the CCC Pitcher of the Week for April 22 after posting a 3-1 record and 1.25 ERA over 28 innings in the circle...threw a perfect game at Curry on April 20, striking out seven Colonels in a 2-0 victory to sweep the conference doubleheader...twice reached double-digits in strikeouts: 10 at Wentworth on April 7 and a career-high 13 versus Curry on April 29 in the first round of the CCC Tournament...posted a 7-2 record and 1.57 ERA in CCC games only...also batted .274 for the season...made WNE debut on March 16 versus William Paterson, going 1-for-1 with sacrifice fly at the plate and tossing a three-hit 3-0 shutout, including seven strikeouts...had first career multi-hit game against Westfield State (March 28) on the road by going 3-for-5, including a triple, with a RBI...belted first career home run as part of a 3-for-3, 2-run, 2-RBI performance at Wentworth (April 7)...voted WNE's Most Valuable Player...changed jersey number to 8.

Before Western New England: Transferred from NCAA Division II Southern New Hampshire (Hooksett, N.H.) out of the Northeast-10 Conference...made two relief appearances in the circle...saw action against Rollins on March 5...pitched one-third of an inning against New Haven and recorded her first collegiate strikeout....wore uniform No. 5.

High School: Was a four-year member of the softball and swimming teams at Lyman Hall played softball for coach Alexis Nacca...posted 241 strikeouts as a senior while batting .294...named the Federation Softball Umpires of Greater New Haven Player of the Year as a senior...helped the Trojans to the 2009 Southern Connecticut Conference title as a sophomore, earning conference MVP honors...served as a two-year softball captain as a junior and a senior...twice named both Class L All-State and all-area as a sophomore and a junior...four-time All-Housatonic League recipient...played in a 2010 All-Star Game for juniors...had 964 career strikeouts as a prep standout...four-time team MVP...also played ASA softball for the Tradition under coach Ron Piazza...also captained swimming squad as a senior...graduated in 2011.
