Luke Chastain brings a wealth of experience to track and field, both as an athlete and a coach, entering his first season with WNE as an assistant coach.
Originally from New Milford, CT, he competed for nine years, specializing in the 400m and earning titles as a NEWMAC Champion and New England DIII Champion at Springfield College. During his four years there, he developed a deep understanding of sprint mechanics and high-performance training.
After earning a B.S. in Applied Exercise Science with a Minor in Athletic Coaching, Luke transitioned into coaching, accumulating three years of experience working with athletes of all ages. His coaching focuses on refining sprint mechanics,
building explosive power, and enhancing overall athletic performance. With a strong foundation in strength and conditioning, he helps athletes maximize their potential on and off the track.
