Steven Duquette

Steven Duquette was named Head Coach of the Western New England men's and women's tennis teams in July of 2025. Duquette steps into the head coaching role after serving as an assistant coach of both Western New England teams for the past two seasons.

While at Western New England, Duquette and the Golden Bears have seen steady improvement. Not only have both teams shown upgrades on the courts, WNE Tennis continues to produce high-level student-athletes inside the classroom under the watch of Duquette. in 2024-2025, eight total members of WNE men's and women's tennis were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as Scholar-Athletes while two student-athletes were named to the College Sport Communicators Academic All-District Team On the court, the Golden Bears men's tennis program has improved their win total in each of the last two seasons, since the appointment of Duquette as an assistant coach.

Duquette coached the Ludlow High School (MA) Girls' tennis team to back-to-back Western Massachusetts championships in 2022 and 2023. His student-athletes were never focused on the championships, but simply on playing the ball and being the best version of themselves for each point. For Duquette, witnessing them build self-confidence was the most rewarding experience.

Since 2019, Duquette has provided private tennis instruction to a growing community of adult and junior tennis players. He has managed indoor and outdoor group tennis clinics for the Ludlow Tennis Club and Ludlow Public Schools respectively. In 2020, he co-captained and inspired a USTA mixed doubles team to a first-place league finish.

In 2013, Duquette spent a year on court with the late Dr. Robert Ford Greene, who authored several tennis books, was on the NCAA Tennis Committee, and played professionally at Wimbledon.

Duquette played NCAA Division III tennis at the University of Rochester, where he managed the campus fitness center and provided certified personal fitness training sessions to faculty, students, and teammates. Duquette is passionate about ancestral health and highlights the potency of good sleep patterns on performance on the court and in the classroom.

Duquette lives in Ludlow, Massachusetts.
