SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Junior catcher/tri-captain Michelle Boss (Fremont, NH) was honored Tuesday (April 20) as the Western New England College Female Athlete-of-the-Week.

Boss, a sport management major, hit .643 (9-for-14) in five contests with seven runs and seven RBI to run her hitting streak to 10 games.

She went 3-for-3 with three runs and two doubles against Southern Vermont, and was 4-for-6 with four runs and four RBI in a doubleheader sweep over St. Joseph (Conn.) as the Golden Bears (27-9) improved their winning streak to 22 games. WNEC also won its second straight regular season Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) title with a 23-1 record.
