JACKIE SHEDLOCK HONORED AS THE GNAC PITCHER-OF-THE-WEEK
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Western New England College junior Jackie Shedlock (Oak Ridge, NJ) was selected the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week on Monday (Mar. 29). She compiled a 2-1 record with 1.80 earned-run-average in 23 1/3 innings.
Shedlock, a history major, tossed a one-hitter (her second of the season) in a 9Ã0 five-inning win over Emerson. She struck out seven and walked one in a 4-1 win victory over Pine Manor College and gained a save in a 6-5 win over the Gators in the first game of the doubleheader.
(Shedlock fired her third one-hitter in a 4-0 win over Emmanuel College on March 30. She struck out a career high 15 batters and allowed no walks in raising her record to 4-4.)
