SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Sophomore forward Sharon Simoncelli (Litchfield, CT) tied her career high with 13 points and sophomore guard Laura Booth (Chicopee, MA) added 11 points to lead Western New England College to a 74-32 win over Elms College in a non conference game.

Sophomore center Kerri Sullivan (Cumberland, RI) contributed 11 rebounds as the Golden Bears improved their record to 6-4 with their third straight victory. Junior center Lisa Masella (Newtown, CT) had eight points and eight rebounds in 16 minutes.

WNEC took an early 23-7 lead before Elms went on an 11-0 run to cut the margin to 23-18 following a basket by freshman forward Amy Kasala (Dalton, MA) with 4:55 left in the half. The Golden Bears pulled away taking a 37-24 lead at intermission.

Western New England College went on a 21-2 run in the first 7:35 of the second half to break the game open. Freshman guard Raemarie Josefiak (Springfield, MA) led the Blazers (3-10) with 13 points off the bench while Kasala finished with 11 points.

All 13 players scored points for the Golden Bears.
