PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The Western New England College men's basketball team finished second at the Cardinal Classic after dropping an 83-64 decision to host Plattsburgh in the championship game Saturday.

The Golden Bears (1-1) trailed by one at half-time (34-33) before the Cardinals pulled away in the second half.

Freshman forward DJ Bonzagni (Milford, CT) scored 15 points to pace the WNEC attack and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Senior guard Jon Godbout (Bristol, CT) added 11 points.
