SPRINGFIELD, Mass. â€" Freshman guard Jennifer Dabrowski (Plainville, CT) came off the bench to score 12 points and senior forward Shelley Everson (Plainville, CT) added 10 points to lead Western New England College to a 61-44 non conference win over visiting Nichols College.

Dabrowski made 6-of-9 shots from the field and scored eight of her points in the second half.

This was the 12th time this season that the Golden Bears held an opponent to under 50 points.

Freshman point guard Megan Ferguson (Plainville, CT) and sophomore reserve forward Sharon Simoncelli (Litchfield, CT) each contributed nine points while sophomore guard Laura Booth (Chicopee, MA) chipped in with seven points and a career high eight rebounds.

Western New England College (17-6) led 27-17 at halftime before Nichols mounted a comeback pulling within four points on four occasions, the last time at 38-34 with 9:11 remaining in the game. The Golden Bears pulled away down the stretch.

Sophomore guard Stacey Hejwosz (Dudley, MA) led the Bison (8-15) with 12 points and six steals while junior forward Heather Clarke (Henniker, NH) had nine points and seven rebounds. Junior center Kara Cicchiello (Willimantic, CT) had eight points and seven rebounds coming off the bench.
