Box Score CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Senior Jackie Shedlock (Oak Ridge, NJ) tossed a five-hitter for her first win of the season to lead Western New England College to a 4-0 victory over St. Lawrence University at the Gene Cusic Classic. Shedlock (1-1) fanned nine and walked one in compiling her 13th career shutout. Senior second base player Sarah Moisao (Harwinton, CT) went 2-for-3 with a RBI while senior catcher Michelle Boss (Fremont, NH) was 2-for-3 with a triple. Junior first base player Erin Whitcomb (Bellows Falls, VT) went 1-for-2 with a walk and her first homer of the season (and 15th of her career). The Golden Bears (2-1) have the day off Wednesday before playing a doubleheader against Montclair State and New England College on Thursday.
