WNEC Women fall to Top Seeded Brandeis in ECAC Tournament

WALTHAM, Mass. - Top-seeded Brandeis University scored 35 points off 29 turnovers in cruising to a 64-40 victory over eighth-seeded Western New England College in a quarterfinal round game of the 2005 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Tournament.

Senior forward Shelley Everson (Plainville, CT) and junior center Lisa Masella (Danbury, CT) each had 12 points and five rebounds for the Golden Bears.

Everson ended her career in nice fashion by scoring the last basket of the game.

Freshman guard Jen Dabrowski (Plainville, CT) contributed seven points coming off the bench.

Western New England College finishes its season with a 19-8 record that is the team's most victories in three years.

Freshman guard Jaime Capra (Old Bridge, NJ) led the Judges with 19 points.

Brandeis (21-4) is tied for 16th nationally in the USA Today/ESPN Division III Coaches Poll.
