Western New England College gets first GNAC win of season with 7-2 victory over Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Western New England College defeated Norwich University 7-2 to pick up its first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win of the season. Junior Ed Fallon (Springfield, MA) and senior Dave Stelmach (Raynham, MA) led the way by winning both their No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches, respectively, then combining to capture their No. 1 doubles match. Freshman Chris Cartier (West Bridgewater, MA) didn't allow a point in winning his No. 5 singles match, then teamed with junior Greg Kelly (Pembroke, MA) to blank their No. 3 doubles opponent. The Golden Bears are now 4-8 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
