BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Western New England College defeated Bridgewater State College 7-2 for its second win of the season. Junior Ed Fallon (Springfield, MA) led the way by winning both his No. 1 singles and doubles matches.
Freshmen Jon Riter (Blue Bell, PA) and Chris Cartier (West Bridgewater, MA) captured their No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches, respectively, while junior Greg Kelly (Pembroke, MA) was the winner at No. 5 singles.
Western New England College (2-5) swept all three doubles matches. Sophomore Barton Haskell (Jewett City, CT) made a successful collegiate debut by winning his No. 3 doubles match with Kelly.
