PLYMOUTH, N.H. - Western New England College's women's volleyball team dropped all three of its matches at the two-day Cobblestone Inn Invitational.
In its season opener on Friday (Sept. 2), WNEC played its best match of the tournament before losing to host Plymouth State by the score of 3-2. The game scores were 30-28, 21-30, 30-26, 21-30, and 8-15.
Sophomore opposite hitter Kim Bezio (Plsttsburgh, NY) led the Golden Bears with 20 kills while junior middle blocker Teddy Woeppel (Cooperstown, NY) had 11 kills. Junior outside hitter Amy Lorinovich (Hampstead, NH) contributed seven aces.
Saturday (Sept. 3), Western New England College came out on the short end of a pair of 3-1 decisions to Lasell (19-30, 30-26, 26-30, and 28-30) and Mount Ida (24-30, 21-30, 30-26, and 29-31).Â
Clark defeated Johnson & Wales 3-1 (30-28, 31-33, 30-25, 30-27) in the championship game.
