BOSTON, Mass. - Western New England College took an early lead, but Suffolk came back and finally emerged with a 3-2 overtime victory in an ECAC Northeast men's hockey contest Tuesday night at Matthews Arena.

The Golden Bears led 2-0 after the first period following goals by sophomore center Jon Hayes (Waltham, MA) and senior forward Pat Henderson (Marlton, NJ). Freshman defensman Chris Gilman (Wingdale, NY) had his first collegiate point with the assist on the first goal while freshman forward Mike Majesty (Chicago, IL) and senior defenseman Dave Wright (New City, NY) assisted on the second goal.

After a scoreless second period, Suffolk tallied twice in the final stanza to force an extra session.

Senior goalie Brian Essig (Saddle Brook, NJ) made 33 saves for the Golden Bears who fall to 3-12-3 overall and 0-8-3 in the conference.
