LONGMEADOW, Mass. â€" Western New England College ran its winning streak to eight matches with a 9-0 shutout victory over host Bay Path College Thursday afternoon (Oct. 5) in a non-league contest.
Junior Meredith Hughes (Springfield, MA) and senior Kristyn Villany (Red Bank, NJ) each won their No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles matches, respectively, and teamed for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
The Golden Bears are now 8-1 heading into a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match at Emmanuel on Saturday (Oct. 7).
