NASHUA, N.H. â€" Western New England College couldn’t get any offense going in suffering a 3-0 loss to Rivier in a semifinal round match of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women’s Volleyball Tournament Thursday night (Nov. 2). The game scores were 30-15, 30-15, and 30-20.

Senior Amy Lorinovich (Hampstead, NH) and junior Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) led the Golden Bears with six and five kills, respectively.

Western New England College was seeded third in the tournament while Rivier was the second seed. The Raiders will meet top-seeded Emmanuel in the championshio match on Saturday (Nov. 4).

The Golden Bears, under rookie coach Charlie Haer, finished the season with an 18-12 record.

Western New England College might be considered for a spot in the ECAC Division III New England Championship. Pairings for that tournament will be announced next week.
