SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's volleyball team had little trouble with visiting Newbury College Tuesday (Sept. 12) coming away with a 3-0 victory at the Alumni Healthful Living Center. The game scores were 30-23, 30-17, and 30-22.

Senior defensive specialist Jess Vogel (Tonawanda, NY) led the Golden Bears with 16 digs while junior middle hitter Ashley O'Keefe (South Dennis, MA) added 11 kills. Sophomore setter Marissa DiSimoni (Pittsfield, MA) chipped in with 36 assists.

This was Western New England College's second win over the Nighthawks in three days after a similar 3-0 shutout at the Cobblestone Inn Invitational in Plymouth, New Hampshire on Saturday.

The Golden Bears even their record at 5-5 after winning for the third time in their last four outings.
