SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's volleyball team saw its four-match winning streak come to and end as visiting Mount Holyoke College posted a 3-1 victory in non-league action Saturday (Sept. 23) at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The game scores were 30-21, 29-31, 30-26, 32-30.

Junior outside hitter Kayte Devine (New Fairfield, CT) led the Golden Bears with 16 kills.

Freshman middle blocker Christina Longto (Kingston, NY) contributed 17 digs while senior defensive specialist Kristin Wellen (Marlboro, MA) had 16 digs. 

Senior setter Jess Vogel (Tonawanda, NY) continued her steady play with 37 assists.

Mount Holyoke (3-3) received 34 kills from senior outside hitter Emily Groth (Franklin, MA) and 25 digs and 13 kills from freshman outside hitter Kendall Burns (Houston, TX).

Western New England College (8-6) returns to action with another non-league match Wednesday (Sept. 27) at UMass-Boston.
