SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior outside hitter Ashley O'Keefe (South Dennis, MA) broke her school record with 30 kills to lead the Western New England College women's volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over visiting Clark University in a non conference match Saturday afternoon (Oct. 13) during Family & Friends Weekend at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The game scores were 30-19, 30-21, 34-32, and 30-23.

O'Keefe earlier set the school mark with 29 kills against Westfield State back on September 6.

Freshman setter Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) contributed a double-double with 43 assists and 10 digs while junior libero Lizzie Manor (Black River, NY) added 12 digs. Freshman outside hitter Samantha Shomo (Glen Gardner, NJ) chipped-in with eight kills and six digs.

The Golden Bears raised their record to 17-7 while the Cougars fall to 5-14.
